Unguento di Capsicum

An herbal equivalent to an "icy-hot" muscle rub. Whether it's sore muscles, bruising, or joint pain, this salve provides a heating and cooling comfort to the body. Cayenne Pepper gives the main heating element, and has shown anti-inflammatory qualities that aid in the decrease of pain signals. A mix of St. John's Wort and Arnica are added to further soothe muscle tension and aid in tissue repair. Finished off with menthol crystals to cool down and relax the body. *

Cayenne Pepper. Anti-inflammatory that adds the main heating element to this salve.

St. John's Wort. Known for soothing muscle tension + nerves. Promotes tissue repair.

Arnica Flowers. Anti-inflammatory + known for treating injuries with muscle pain + bruising.

Menthol Crystals. Adding the main cooling effect to this salve to help balance out the heat.

Because of the potency of this salve, a little bit goes a long way! It slightly melts when in contact with warm skin. This allows you to gently massage the area of application, while delivering these qualities deep into the skin for optimal relief.  * 

To use: Apply a small amount the desired area and gently massage into skin. Please wash hands after applying. Do not use near eyes or mucous membranes.

Comes in a 2 ounce tin.

Ingredients: Olive Oil, Cayenne Pepper (Capsicum annuum), St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum), Arnica Flowers (Arnica montana), Ginger Root (Zingiber officinale), Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), Menthol Crystals (Mentha arvensis), Spruce Essential Oil (Picea mariana), Carnauba Wax (Copernica cerifera).
